Dear Friends,
I am proud today to be standing here with you all.
I am also very proud that I just had the opportunity to lay a wreath at the impressive Genocide monument.
I am also very proud that I just had the opportunity to lay a wreath at the impressive Genocide monument.
The monument that is placed in memory of one of the most horrendous crimes that humanity has known; the Armenian genocide.
During this horrible genocide, the Great Crime -Medz Yeghern- Armenian men, women and children were raped, starved to death and killed in an organized, massive and horrific manner.
The Armenian genocide is an ink black page in the history of the world, which should always be remembered and that should never be forgotten.
In addition, April 24 is a very important date.
It is exactly 100 years since the Armenian genocide began in Constantinople.
It is exactly 100 years since the Armenian genocide began in Constantinople.
During this moment, everyone in the world should concentrate on the 100th year. Everywhere in the world.
Also the Dutch government.
Therefore, I call on Prime-Minister Rutte(Prime-Minister of the Netherlands) at this moment, to show maximum respect with our head of state(Kind and Queen of the Netherlands).

I say to Prime-Minister Rutte: Go with the King of the Netherlands to Yerevan on April 24 in showing the Dutch involvement in recognizing the Armenian Genocide!
That is very important! You are after all also MP and head of state of all Armenian Dutch(Armenians in the Netherlands). Show your respect and go and do not stop from going for fear of the Turkish government.

The PVV feels and I feel deeply connected with you Armenians.
You, your parents or grandparents came here to escape the horrors of Islam, and do not want to let these horrors repeat in the Netherlands. Neither do I. I am therefore pleased that we can work together as allies.
A true low point was of course the terrible harassment by hundreds Turks at this place last year.
They protested against the monument, while calling the most terrible things like: ‘’Karabach will be
the new grave of the Armenians’’.

This proves that you as Armenian community in the Netherlands still face many challenges.
I stand with you and I am on your side to face these challenges. We have always supported you, support you now and will continue to support you always.
Thank you for receiving me today.
